What can you do?
There are several ways you can help the fight for accountability:
1) E-mail us with your news and views. We will soon start a page with your comments. As many of our visitors are, shall we say, in the FSA's shadow, we will not publish your name or organisation unless you specifically ask us to.
2) Tell friends and colleagues about the site - unlike the FSA, we don't have a £7 million budget for 'consumer relations', or £3 million a year to pay for printing and publishing.
2) Lobby members of the the House of Lords to suggest they table amendments for a fairer balance of power and accountability within the FSA. We have a page with ten suggestions for how this can be achieved. We have listed four Lords who we feel may give us all a good hearing, but let us know if you have any other suggestions:
Lord Saatchi, House of Lords, London, SW1A 0PW
Lord Rees LR QC, 39 Headfort Place, London, SW1X 7DE
Lord Stewartby RD FBA, House of Lords, London, SW1A 0PW
Lord Kingsland TD QC DL, 4 Breams Buildings, London, EC4A 1AQ
3) Send your views to members of the Commons Treasury select committee. They are currently our best hope for scrutinising the FSA, and they question Howard Davies and his crew every so often.
You can e-mail the committee at [email protected], or contact members directly by fax:
