FSA Board Member Addresses
The Financial Services Authority (whose site this is not) are very keen on appearing open and transparent. To help the FSA in this aim, here are the home addresses and fees (1998-99) of the FSA board of directors. The pay includes salaries, bonuses, board fees and pension contributions. We've also included an interesting fact about each member.
Please do drop them a line - they'd love to hear from you!

Moira Black
60 Beaufort Road
London
W5 3EA
£4,667
Fun fact: Moira is a very busy lady indeed! She is a director of six other organisations, chairman of an NHS trust, a member of two councils, chairman of an advisory committee, a trustee at Royal Botanic Gardens, and Governor of University of North London!

Fun fact: You can call Mr Boyd on 0207 431 1581.
David Clementi

Deirdre Hutton
Rosebank
Kelso
TD5 7PX
£14,000
Fun fact: The National Consumer Council believes the FSA's new Ombudsman scheme "might grow into a huge, overly formal bureaucracy, stifling innovation and introducing more rules and formality." Let's hope their vice-chairman Deirdre sorts it out!
Gillian Nott
3 St Peters Square
London
W6 9AB
£4,667
Fun fact: Speaking on 11 November 1998, when she was Pro Share Chief Executive, Gillian said "We are delighted that the (FSA) will be taking a collaborative approach and working with third parties. ProShare looks forward to working closely with the FSA in establishing a programme for consumer education." It seems the FSA agreed, because 20 days later, Gillian was appointed to the FSA board!
John (Keith) Oates
9 Kensington Gate
London
LO8 5NA
£2,334
Fun fact: Keith will be a fine source of joined-up thinking for the FSA. He's a director at food and drink producers Diageo, and he used to be Finance Director at Marks and Spencer!

Phillip Thorpe
Garden Flat
70 Sutherland Avenue
London
W9 2QS
£219,558
Fun fact: You couldn't slide an FSA consultation paper between Phillip and Michael Foot last year. Although their performance related bonus includes personal performance, both men got an identical £25,000!
Keith Whitson
36 Rowland Way
London
SW7 3RE
£4,667
Fun fact: Keith won't have far to go when he visits the FSA. He's a director at HSBC Bank, which is soon moving to Canary Wharf - just yards from the FSA headquarters!
Interestingly enough, HSBC has recently bought the bank Republic New York, whose boss Edmond Safra (who died in December) had an estimated £70 million worth of shares in.... the owners of Canary Wharf! (There's nothing illegal or dodgy about this of course - it's just a cute little story.)
